Down South Moonshine Brine

If you have not had barbeque in the south you must do so sometime in your life, put it on the bucket list!! Well today I'm going to show all my southern chops with an great brine. As some in the south would say that this brine makes you ribs so good, "That you tongue will slap your teeth right out your mouth"! I got word through the grapevine that a special person is following the blog and has an interest in brining meat. So this recipe is for Ann I hope you enjoy it and let me know how it turns out! 






Chris' Famous Moonshine Brine

Ingredients

1/2 cup sea salt
1/4 cup Blackstrap molasses
1/4 cup honey
1/2 cup peach moonshine from Old Smoky Distillery
2 bay leaves
6 cloves garlic, peeled and smashed
8 cups water

Preparation

In a 2 quart sauce pan heat the water until steam starts to rise then remove from heat. Add the salt and stir until dissolved. Then add the rest of the ingredients and refrigerate the brine overnight before using.
