Portabella Mushroom Cheeseburger

This is a really delicious and tasty burger that is great anytime of the day, but extra great when comfort is needed. If the Portabella Mushroom Cheeseburger does not comfort you, then something is really wrong.





The recipe is really simple on this burger and it has a really great juicy taste, flavorful, cheesy, and just the right amount sweet from the onions. Add some sweet potato fries on the side and you'll have your own little nirvana!

Portabella Mushroom Burger

Yield 4 Burgers

Ingredients

1-1/2 pounds ground beef (preferably black angus ground sirloin)
1 tablespoon minced onion
1 teaspoon worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon soy sauce
1 clove garlic minced
1/2 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper
4 ounces fresh baby portabella mushrooms, washed and sliced
1 tablespoon butter
8 slices american cheese
4 Sesame seed burger buns

Preparation

In a mixing bowl combine the ground beef with the seasonings and mix well, then add the onion and garlic. Divided the meat into four equal portions and form into patties.

Heat a skillet to medium high heat, add the butter, once the butter is melted add the sliced mushrooms. Saute the mushrooms until nicely browned, then set aside and keep warm.

Now cook your burger patties either on the grill on in a skillet, the choice is your. Once the burgers are medium to medium well top with two slices of American cheese, melt the cheese to desired consistency.

Once the patties are cooked and the cheese is melted place the patty on a burger bun and spoon a large portion of mushrooms on top of the cheese, top with your favorite condiments. Enjoy!
